January U.S. Light-Vehicle Sales Record 7-Month-High Annualized Rate
Executive Summary
Although January’s raw volume was the lowest for any month since the start of the pandemic, it does not mean demand is weakening. The annualized rate jumped 20% from December and, compared to typical declines of 20% to 25%, January’s daily selling rate was just 7% below the prior month.
